Top American Businesses Forge Ahead With Climate Solutions

April 13, 2011

A coalition of America's top businesses is taking climate change seriously. Last month executives of Nike, Starbucks, Levi Strauss & Co., and Target, among many others, united under the banner "Business For Innovative Climate and Energy Policy" (BICEP), hosted former Republican Congressman Bob Inglis in Washington, D.C. at a leadership event to promote bipartisan energy and climate legislation. In his address to businesses, policymakers, investors, and NGOs Inglis urged that it is conservative to take action on climate change and that market-based solutions would provide the nation not gloom and doom but "promise and opportunity". A video of his address is available here.
